At KP Scholars, we are passionate about positive change and preparing individuals for the 21st century workforce by providing academic, social and professional development services. Talent development begins as early as elementary school when we are helping our KP Scouts explore diverse careers and expanding their thoughts on the opportunities ahead of them. As youth progress through the KP Professional Maturity Model they are systematically developing the skills that employers are seeking from their new hires.
Many K12 partners contract with KP scholars to manage their out of school time for their students creating a simulated work environment that students enter upon the conclusion of the regular school day. While students may be focused on academic development they are engaged as youth workers—they receive a virtual salary, compete for open leadership positions and participate in the performance management system. These tangible lessons provide an experiential learning opportunity that build the knowledge, skills and abilities in demand by employers.
